Class Descriptions
Yoga Basics taught by Diana Graves
Learn the fundamentals and build the foundation of your yoga practice as you build flexibility, strength and endurance and reduce stress. This slow-paced class explores the ways in which the poses, the breath and quieting the mind can awaken the mind-body-spirit connection. Designed for students new to yoga as well as experienced students wishing to revisit the basics.
Vinyasa Yoga taught by Julie Walters
A sequence of yoga postures mindfully linked together to provide your body with balance, strength and flexibility. A conscious breath is used to create a flow with movement that allows you to fully express each posture. Students of all levels who are injury-free are welcome.
Gentle Yogawith Mia is an easy paced, stress free practice. With gentle, subtle body movement we re-train the physical brain to be aware and become able to release the deeply ingrained and unconscious inability to move fully. Plus the slower pace reduces the speed and restlessness of the mind giving an inner experience as well. In yoga as with other aspects of life, sometimes we just need to be gentle with ourselves.
Sun & Moon Yoga taught by Catherine Martin
Sun practice is active & structured- building strength and endurance. Moon practice is more passive, intuitive and flowing. This class attempts to find the balance between sun and moon, breathing through sun salutations, energetic poses, and balance poses; as well as moon salutations, calming poses, and stretching poses. Learning to listen to your body, mind and heart is an integral part of Catherine’s yoga experience so that the lessons and benefits of yoga spill into all areas of your life!
Participants at all levels of experience are welcome.

WuJi QiGong taught by Anthony Statler
in 6-week sessions--- look for a new session to begin this fall!
The basic concept of Qigong (Chi Gong) is to bring together, align and regulate the mind, body and vital life force through breathing, movement and meditation. There are a multitude of forms and methods of practicing QiGong. One that many people are familiar with is TaiJi, which translates as "Supreme or Grand Limit" and studies and explores the mind/body's place, function and understanding of reality based on the concepts of Yin and Yang through specificly designed movements that express the full limits of the mind/body within our universe. WuJi means "No Limits" it starts with specific form and movement giving order to chaos and then steps beyond the labeling and specific limitations of the mind/body and allow you to engage in free form movements so you can freely explore and possibly even expand your own limitations physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. WuJi is a potent and powerful form of Qigong that is very easy to learn and practice. Feel free to come and try it out- $15 for one class.
